Beautiful early 19th c. full calf w. raised bands, richly dec. gilt backs (4 of six compartments bear the monogram "A.S."), red and green labels, sides ruled in gilt, and all edges red. (Copy on large paper, but the plates were published separately and apparently on smaller paper, so blank margins are skilfully added to make the plates fit, 12 text-pp. of fasc. 44 and 4 text-pp. of fasc. 46 (both vol. 3) are lacking (but blank lvs. are bound up instead), else an excellent and outstanding set in luxurious bindings with all the plates).
