Abraham Titsingh (bapt. 1684-1776), town surgeon and surgeon to the Admiralty at Amsterdam. Titsingh published several books and brochures of which his 'Cypria' is a very extensive history of syphilis. It contains i.a. numerous critical comments on Boerhaave, Tschirnhaus, Halley, Vieussens, Becher. First edition. - Coll.
