VELDE, Henry van de. -- RILKE, R.M. Die Weise von Liebe und Tod des Cornets Christoph Rilke. Hoenderloo, Hubertus Verlag, 1929. (36) pp. W. 50 cold. ill. by M.A.J. Bauer. Fol. This book is a broad-margined de-luxe print on strong white paper with watermark and a private publication by Sam van Deventer (1888-1972) who, in an attempt to remain anonymous, published under the name "Hubertus Verlag, Hoenderloo". The watercolours by Bauer are expressive illustrations in sepia and sober colours. The book was printed by Joh. Enschedé en Zonen in Haarlem in 200 numb. copies. This is one of 12 copies from the de-luxe edition in the rare morocco binding. Our copy is nr. 6 for Mrs. Geertruida Christina Kröller-Jesse (Truusje) (1894-1974), who was married with Anthony George Kröller Jr., son of Anthony Kröller and Helene Müller, founders of the Kröller-Müller Museum. - Brinks, p. 218ff.€ 4000
