Largely a translation of: Le Petit, Jean François. La grande chronique. In this edition Grimeston includes a translation of Le Petit's preface from "La grande chronique" and mentions in the translator's preface that the continuation of the history is derived from "Historia Belgica nostri potissimum temporis" by Emmanuel van Meteren. - A variant state of the first edition (1608).
