Interesting work on the relation between the University & the city of Leyden written 50 years after the foundation of the University. - Haitsma Mulier/v.d. Our copy has an interesting ownership entry by Antonius Aemilius dated 1627, the famous Utrecht school principal, later Professor of History (1589 - 1660) who twice refused a professorship at Leiden University, but clearly wished to be kept informed on what was going on there.
