Ad 1: Carl Theodor Gottfried Scheidt studied medicine in Duisburg and matriculated as MD in 1782. Worked in Kettwig (Germany) and later in Zutphen and Barmen. In 1783 he became a member of the masonic lodge "Caroline zu den drei Pfauen". He married Maria Emilia Palairet at Dieren in 1785. The list of relatives and friends is long and many use the masonic symbol (the all-seeing eye within a triangle) in combination with a signature. Among the contributors are remarkably many members of the military: Ferret, Ruysch, Alberti, De Mees, Roques de Maumont, Stainmetz, Büchner, Lalinbrug, Bose. Other names occurring: Duvoisin, De Capellen, Knuth, Schwenger und Rheda, Van der Muelen, Rinsel, Zurhoff, Bleibtreu, Wenckebach, Guérin, Van der Wijck, Snoeck, Gockinga, and many more (list of names available upon request). Ad 2: Handsomely printed, general medical therapy by Daniel Carmenius. Rare.
