PHOTO ALBUM of Central Java, 1910's/1920's. 81 photographs (168 x 227 mm) tipped in on cardboard lvs. and captioned in Dutch in white ink. In cont. brown cf. 4°-obl. album.
The fine photographs depict primarily village scenes (Kalitidoe, Bodjonegoro, Toeban, Tjepoe, Blora, Rembang, etc.), but also train yards (at Toeban, Tjepoe and Rembang), bridges (Besoeki bridge, Bodjonegoro bridge, Randoeblatoeng bridge) and nature scenes. The album is said to have a connection with a Dutch family under the name of Ingram. On several pictures an Overland motor car occurs, probably the car with which the photographer was driven around?
