First edition. Edited by Charles-George-Thomas Garnier and including Defoe's Robinson Crusoe and Swift's Gulliver's Travels, amongst other imaginary voyages. Garnier's attempt provided "a vital landmark for Camille Flammarion (…) and Jules Verne" (Cambridge Companion to Science Fiction, p. 17).
