‘Illustrated guide book for travellers round the world’ (= Sekai ryoko bankoku meisho zue) was a series of seven charming guidebooks for Japanese travellers published between 1885-1887. This rare first volume of the series deals with North America. With several maps and numerous wood-engraved views of Niagara Falls, the Hudson river, Beacon street, Washington Monument, the Treasury Department, the White House, Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge etc. Also including a moveable "table of hour of the situation of every cities around the world". The text is in Japanese, but with captions in English to the illustrations.€ 200
