(17 (of 20)), 17-358 lvs. W. 80 fine woodcuts in text. Fol. Old blind tooled cf. over wooden brds. w. remnants of 4 (!) clasps and catches. (Bind. a bit dam. and wormed in places, spine rep., lacking lvs. 2a1 (title-p.), 2a2 and 2a4 of the prelims (added in photostat), rep. to lvs. 1a1 and 1a2, owner's stamps on r° 2a3, clean text w. ample margins, but some foxing/browning in places, blank margin slightly stained in places, some unobtrusive worming to last 5 lvs. (without loss of text)).

The woodcuts (58 x 75 and 48 x 75 mm) throughout the text depict war scenes, domestic and pastoral scenes, punishments, the slaying of Julius Caesar, etc. - Schweiger II, 973; Ebert 21895.
