(Top of spine chipped, ties & prize fail, faintly stained in places).

First published in Holland in 1712, this treatise on Roman rituals and customs, both sacred and secular, went through numerous editions through 1802. Nieupoort was a jurist and professor of law at the University of Utrecht. - Spoelder 515, (Breda 4).
