Cont. richly blindtooled pigskin w. raised bands over wooden brds. w. 2 brass clasps & catches, red edges. (Top of spine slightly worn, corners somewhat bumped, stamp on ti. (r° & v°), a few old annot., last lvs. faintly stained, else a fine and clean copy).

Second edition, first printed in Venice in 1532. Rare work of the First Crusade and the Kingdom of Jerusalem until its end. The work served as a template for Torquato Tasso's "La Gerusalemme liberata". At the end a five page "Prognosticon" for the years 1503-1535 in hexameters by Luca Gaurici for the Margrave Fr. Gonzaga of Mantua. - Extremely rare. VD16 A-76; Adams A-81 (1x incompl.).
